Albert Pla mixes electronics and rumba with choreography and projections at ‘RumbaGENARIOS’

Albert Plan return to the stage with ‘RumbaGENARIOS‘, a project that combines electronic music, rumba, choreographies i unique projections. He will do it by performing some of the songs from his first album and others that have not yet gone through the studio. Plan will be accompanied by The Surprise Bandwith Diego Cortes on the guitar and Judit Farrés on the keyboard. Sarah Sambola, Cristina Lopez i Ana Brenes who will do the second voices and also interpret part of the choreographies that will play an essential role in this concert, as well as the audiovisual projections. The premiere of ‘RumbaGENARIOS’ can be seen onNovember 11th at half past eleven at night a Mirona of Saltwithin the programming of High season.

The song ‘Marcelino del Arroyo’ by Albert Pla was published on the album ‘Veintegenarios’ in 1997. Now, Albert Pla has included it in the show ‘RumbaGENARIOS’ which will premiere this November at the Mirona hall in Salt. This is a show where Pla will be accompanied by The Surprise Band, in which the themes will combine electronic music with rumba at the same time that the audience will be able to see unique choreographies while in the background there are audiovisual projections with a special weight within the concert dramatized

The repertoire will consist of this and other unique songs from the beginnings of his musical career, which he started with the album ‘Ho sento mot’, in 1989. In fact, there will be songs that have not yet gone through the studio of recording. This Wednesday the artist did a first rehearsal of the new show while he finished recording some of the videos that will be projected on stage on the day of the premiere.

The airs of the rumba will arrive from the hand of the guitarist Diego Cortés and the voices Sara Sambola, Cristina López and Ana Brenes. They will also be in charge of some of the choreographies that can be seen in the concert. Another fundamental part of the concert is Judit Farrés who will be in charge of the keyboard and synthesizers to give the show an electronic air.

Albert Plan in High Season

The premiere of ‘RumbaGENARIOS’ is part of the Temporada Alta programming. This will be the ninth time that Albert Pla participates in the contest, although Albert Pla has recalled that it will be “the first time” he will do so with a concert in which the audience “will be standing”. Pla has assured that with ‘RumbaGENARIOS’ he takes a different bet with rumba in the first place and The Surprise Band that will bring a fresh air to the themes, some of them with more than 25 years of history. “And I will also be there, the poor man as always”, finished the Catalan artist.

The director of the High Season, Salvador Sunyerhas announced that he is pleased to be able to count on Pla again in this year’s festival program and is confident that “hopefully he can come for many more years”.

Albert Pla’s most danceable concert can be seen on the night of Saturday 11 November at the Mirona hall in Salt from half past eleven. Tickets are already on sale for 23 euros. Soon the artist and the band will bring the show to Mataró (December 1) and Madrid (January 18).
