Open to the public from 22 September, the exhibition “Alberto Sordi and his time”, curated by Alessandra Maria Sette, already has the numbers of a large exhibition and adds, in addition to the usual opening hours, a new timetable for the day of Sunday 15 October from 10am to 1pm. Almost 6000 entries in just over two weeks for an exhibition that intertwines the professional career of Alberto Sordi with the events of our country, from 1920 to 2003. An Italy of reconstruction and change that Sordi interprets through one, a hundred, a thousand masks in a cinema that has made history.
The exhibition is hosted in the Alberto Sordi House Museum, the historic villa in which the actor lived from 1958 to 2003, home to the Historical Archive and the Museum Foundation which for the occasion opens to the public the Great Hall and the Theater where Sordi used preview films of his films.
“Alberto Sordi and his time” is part of the initiatives promoted by the Alberto Sordi Museum Foundation together with the Alberto Sordi Foundation for young people for the twentieth anniversary of the death of the extraordinary interpreter of Italian cinema.
