Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, world No.1, easily beat Denis Shapovalov on Friday in the third round of Roland-Garros (6-1, 6-4, 6-2).
World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz, the main favorite at Roland-Garros with Novak Djokovic in the absence of Rafael Nadal, joined the round of 16 without delay at the expense of Canadian Denis Shapovalov (32nd), dominated 6-1, 6- 4, 6-2 in just over two hours Friday night.
In the round of 16, Alcaraz (20 years old) will face another player of the new generation, the Italian Lorenzo Musetti (18th), 21 years old.
