A shocking case of premeditated murder and dismemberment has unfolded in Alexandria, Egypt, with authorities confirming the arrest and confession of a worker, identified as “T.H.,” in the brutal killing of his roommate, “A.A.S.” The accused detailed a meticulously planned act of revenge stemming from a year-old dispute over missing funds.
Investigation Reveals a Calculated Crime
investigations conducted by the Dekheila District Prosecution, led by Counselor Omar Abu Kalila, Deputy Public Prosecutor, revealed the accused spent approximately nine hours carrying out the crime and disposing of the victim’s remains. Surveillance footage corroborated the confession, showing the accused repeatedly leaving and returning to the apartment with plastic bags, and ultimately purchasing cement and sand – materials investigators believe were used to conceal evidence. The accused admitted to being the individual depicted in the video clips presented to him during questioning.
The accused, a daily wage worker who arrived in alexandria from upper Egypt three years ago, shared a two-room apartment in the abu Youssef area with the victim and another individual, “M.A.” according to the accused’s statement, the initial catalyst for the tragedy stemmed from a furniture moving job completed a year prior. While assisting the victim in transporting furniture, the homeowner claimed 1,200 Egyptian pounds were missing from a nightstand.
“They replied to her that they did not take that money and that they could search us or call the police,” the accused recounted, stating they were cleared of any wrongdoing. Though,the victim repeatedly revisited the issue,demanding the accused contribute to the missing sum.
Escalating Conflict and a Desire for Revenge
The dispute over the 1,200 pounds festered for a year,culminating in a heated argument. The accused claims the victim’s accusations of theft, coupled with personal insults directed at his family, ignited a desire for revenge. “I am not a thief,” the accused reportedly stated, “so the victim insulted and insulted his parents.”
This escalating conflict ultimately led to the horrific events that followed.
A Premeditated Attack and Gruesome Aftermath
On the morning of the incident, after their roommate left for work, the accused sealed the apartment and armed himself with two knives – a large one and a small one. He lured the victim into a false pretense of returning to the homeowner to resolve the financial dispute. Rather, he ambushed the victim, initially stabbing him in the neck with the smaller knife before inflicting multiple abdominal wounds with the larger blade.
The accused then proceeded to dismember the body, burying some remains within the apartment and discarding the rest in nearby garbage bins. He attempted to conceal evidence by placing the victim’s belongings inside a mobile phone.”The idea of ​​killing
