Alfa Romeo debuted the Cuorerosso concept car at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, showcasing a four-door, four-seat GT layout powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid system that previews the Italian brand’s future design and performance direction ahead of upcoming vehicle launches.
Alfa Romeo pulled the cover off its latest design statement at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, introducing a low-slung, four-door performance concept intended to guide the brand’s styling and engineering through the end of the decade. Revealed on October 12, 2026, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, the vehicle arrives as a direct expression of the brand’s traditional design philosophy.
Neither a direct preview of an imminent production model nor a simple styling exercise, the Cuorerosso functions as a design manifesto for upcoming vehicles. Santo Ficili, CEO of Alfa Romeo and Maserati, emphasized that the project aims to preserve Alfa Romeo’s DNA even as the manufacturer shifts toward electrification.
Biscione Design Centre Shapes the Four-Seat Coupe
Developed by the Biscione Design Centre in Turin, the styling team focused on the purity of its volumes and the pursuit of perfect proportions. The finished four-seat coupe measures 185 inches (4.7 meters) long, 77 to 78 inches (1.98 meters) wide, and 51 to 52.4 inches (1.331 meters) tall, with a wheelbase spanning 115.4 inches (2,930 mm).
The exterior features a Liquid Ink Red finish, described by the manufacturer as a blend of molten metal and lava. Up front, the iconic Scudetto and Trilobo grilles are reinterpreted with illuminated triangular elements that pulse light and frame sleek headlights. The exterior architecture also incorporates forged alloy wheels styled after classic teledial designs, prominent Quadrifoglio badges, and a truncated tail section reminiscent of the historic Alfa Romeo 8C. Through coordinated styling and engineering, the body achieves a drag coefficient of 0.28.

Hybrid V6 Engine Powers the Multi-Energy Platform
Beneath the sculpted bodywork sits a technical proposal for future Quadrifoglio models. The concept pairs a hybrid system with the brand’s familiar 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine, utilizing a torque-converter automatic gearbox and a carbon-fiber driveshaft to send power to all four wheels.
While the company has not published exact output figures for the concept, the architecture is designed as a multi-energy platform capable of supporting mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric configurations. Estimated weight for the concept stands at approximately 3,858 pounds (1,750 kg).
Inside the Driver-Focused Cabin Layout
Four doors provide access to a cabin where sustainable materials feature heavily, and leather incorporates 60 per cent post-industrial waste.
The driver faces an instrument display featuring two cylindrical gauges inspired by the 1960s 33 Stradale. Enabled by Stellantis technology, these pods can merge into a single central screen in sportier driving modes. Essential functions retain physical switches along the center console.

Concept Design Will Influence Upcoming SUV and Hatchback
Although the Cuorerosso concept itself will not reach assembly lines, its proportions and design language will influence upcoming production vehicles. Santo Ficili confirmed that the brand’s upcoming medium SUV will draw heavily on the concept’s styling when it arrives.
Following the introduction of the Tonale successor in 2028, Alfa Romeo plans to roll out a performance-focused hatchback designed to target competitors like the Volkswagen Golf and BMW 1 Series, while a successor to the Stelvio SUV remains under consideration.
