Algeria, Nigeria and Niger have signed a memorandum of understanding, which offers for the resumption of labor on the Trans-Saharan fuel pipeline challenge. On July 29, the Algeria Press Service company reported about it, “Armenpress” informs.

The signing of the memorandum came about throughout a tripartite assembly attended by Algerian Minister of Power and Mines Mohamed Arkab, Nigerian Petroleum Minister Timipre Silva and Niger’s Minister of Petroleum, Power and Renewable Power Mahamane Sani Mahamadu.

It’s assumed that the principle pipeline with a size of 4 thousand kilometers will likely be used for the transportation of fuel from Nigeria to Algeria. From there, Nigerian fuel may be exported to Europe via the Trans-Mediterranean pipeline, which connects Algeria and Italy, or within the type of liquefied pure fuel. The authorities of Algeria, Nigeria and Niger signed the settlement on the development of the trans-Saharan fuel pipeline in 2009.
