In the regions of Girona 4,491 children aged 6 years have acquired a book thanks to the campaign of the Guild of Booksellers of Catalonia and the Generalitat ‘It’s been 6 years. Choose a book’. This represents 56.8% of the total number of boys and girls who received the voucher at home. It is a campaign in which the Generalitat gives each child a voucher worth thirteen euros, so that they can exchange it for a book at any of the participating bookstores. This means that 43% of 6-year-old boys and girls in the Girona counties have not used this voucher. In total, a total of 7,091 titles from 424 publishers were sold, compared to the 5,923 titles from 400 publishers sold in the 2022 edition.
