Alon Musk: “I have already sold enough Tesla shares”

by time news

Alon Musk, owner and CEO of Tesla, sold Tesla shares last month for about $ 14 billion, and the final amount may currently be $ 15 billion in total.

In the poll, Musk asked the public whether to sell 10% of Tesla shares. A majority of 58% of just over 3.5 million people voted in favor of the sale.

But this poll is half a bluff, because Musk presents a picture according to which he was not really interested in selling, but the respondents “forced” him to sell. But rest assured it’s not a game. It’s billions of dollars after all, and even the richest man in the world cares. What did Musk do? He presented the poll with a rhetorical question – do you want me to sell Tesla shares and pay taxes or not – so I suggest selling 10% of the shares – obviously the majority voted yes.

So after a few rounds of sales and after Tesla shares fell from the peak by 26%. Musk wakes up and says today, I’ve sold enough.

How much are those 10%? It was supposed to sell about 17 million shares worth about $ 24 billion according to calculations made worldwide. How much did he actually sell? About $ 13.5 million shares worth about $ 14.1 billion, according to the latest regulatory documents, but according to hints scattered on the Babylon B website, it has apparently sold another stake since.

In any case, no matter how you calculate it, the numbers do not reach the same 10% of his shares, and at least according to his current statement – in the meantime he has decided to stop. In response, Tesla shares soared by 3.5%
