From Press Officer to Radio Host: Aurélie Rigaud Expands Her Creative Reach

A multifaceted career has propelled Aurélie Rigaud from the world of public relations to the airwaves, culminating in a new role as a radio host while simultaneously continuing her successful press agency and literary pursuits. Rigaud’s journey exemplifies a dedication to authentic storytelling and a willingness to embrace new challenges.

A Quarter-Century in Communications

For over 25 years, Aurélie Rigaud has excelled as a press officer, a profession she describes as far from a job and more akin to a lifestyle. In 2015, she took a bold step, founding her own agency, Aurèle in the city, driven by what she calls “a choice of the heart and of humanity.” This independent venture is built on a foundation of collaboration with companies that align with her personal values, fostering a work environment where professionalism and authenticity coexist. “My job is not a constraint, it is my everyday life,” she stated.

From Columns to a Published Work: Aurèle in the city

Rigaud’s creative talents extend beyond public relations. She quickly established herself as a columnist, initially with France Bleu Alsace and later with Top Music, crafting pieces she describes as “little life stories” that explore themes of love and everyday experiences. These sensitive and humorous observations resonated with a growing audience, ultimately inspiring her to compile them into a book.

Driven by a long-held ambition, Rigaud transformed her columns into a published work. She carefully selected and revised approximately twenty of her favorite pieces, then collaborated with a photographer to create a visually compelling accompaniment. “In October, Aurèle in the city – The book saw the light of day,” initially through self-publication before being picked up by Editions Vérone. The book’s release was met with enthusiasm, and author events proved highly successful.

A New Voice on Top Music

The latest chapter in Rigaud’s career involves a transition from columnist to host on Top Music. She has joined the “We are all standing” team, broadcasting from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. alongside Jules, Sébastien, and Nono. “The planets were aligned,” she explained. “I wanted to add another string to my bow, particularly in the media: it’s done.” She acknowledged the challenge of the demanding schedule but expressed genuine enjoyment in stepping outside her comfort zone.

Balancing her morning radio commitments with her ongoing work as a press officer, Rigaud is already envisioning a second book, a collection of further columns. It’s clear that her creative momentum is unstoppable.
