Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days run on October 6 and 7, bringing deep discounts on video games, consoles, controllers, and PC hardware for members.
Video Game Discounts and All-Time Low Prices on Major Releases
The two-day shopping event brings rare price cuts on recent titles across PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo hardware. Bethesda’s vast sci-fi RPG Starfield, which expanded to PlayStation consoles in April, is listed at $40.33 with an on-page coupon cutting down the original $49.99 rate. This is the full base game rather than a trimmed-down edition, giving you Bethesda’s huge sci-fi RPG with deep character customization, ship building, and over 1,000 planets to explore. Capcom’s sci-fi action game Pragmata sits at $39.99 for PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2, down from its $59.99 list price.
Role-playing enthusiasts find exceptionally steep markdowns on Square Enix titles. Its predecessor, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, drops to $19.99 from its $39.99 price. Meanwhile, Star Wars: Zero Company receives its first major discount at $47.97, and The Blood of Dawnwalker falls to $59.49, marking over $10 off its $69.99 MSRP.
Other standout titles seeing price cuts include Resident Evil Requiem, which drops to $49.99 across PS5, Xbox, and Switch 2. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is available for PS5 and Xbox at $59, reflecting a $10 markdown from its standard retail cost. Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, a remake of the classic 2001 turn-based role-playing game that massively improves the original’s very slow opening act while preserving cheerful and nostalgic vibes, is available at Amazon for $42.99. Life is Strange Reunion, which continues the series revival by reuniting Max with Chloe Price following 2024’s Double Exposure, is offered at nearly half price on Amazon.
Asus Chromebook Vibe Offers Portable Cloud Gaming
While brand-new console inventory sees fewer direct markdowns, alternative purchasing options provide substantial relief from hardware price hikes. For portable cloud gaming, the Asus Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flip Cloud Gaming Laptop features a 14-inch 1920×1200 display, Intel Core i5 1235U CPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD, and is available at Amazon.
Controllers, Headsets, and PC Hardware Upgrades
The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro wireless gaming controller features six remappable back buttons, Hall Effect sticks, ultra-low-latency wireless, and a wired Tournament Mode, and is reduced by $70 for Prime Day. For a more budget-friendly option, 8BitDo offers its officially licensed Xbox controller with Hall Effect sticks and triggers at a 20% reduction, bringing it under $30. GameSir has also partnered with Amazon to run 20% discounts across its bespoke hardware lineup.
Audio and display equipment also see heavy cuts across major brands. The Razer Kaira Pro wireless gaming headset, officially licensed by Xbox, receives a $45 reduction, boasting titanium drivers, an ultra-clear supercardioid mic, and a second in-built mic for everyday mobile use. Meanwhile, the HyperX Cloud III S wireless headset drops to $129.99 from its $179.99 list price, marking its lowest-ever price on Amazon as confirmed by the camelcamelcamel price tracker. For PC users, the Razer Basilisk V3 wired mouse is slashed by half to $34.98 from $69.99, featuring six dedicated macro keys, custom RGB lighting for each key, and a physical volume roller positioned right above the number pad.
Shoppers looking to secure their Xbox Series S setups can find the Mcbazel Vertical Stand with Cooling Fan discounted by 20% to help combat overheating issues during long play sessions, featuring two high-speed fans under the base for $15.19. In the laptop and desktop category, the MSI Vector HX Gaming Laptop features a 16-inch QHD+ display running up to 165Hz, an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD, available at Amazon for $2,999.00 down from $3,639.00 for an 18% savings. Another portable option, the MSI Crosshair 16 AI, packs a 16-inch display with 300 nits of brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate, a last-gen RTX 4050 GPU, and an updated cooling structure with a redesigned Cryo-Chamber.
Midrange desktop towers also see significant price drops. The Thermaltake LCGS Versa i1460S Gaming Desktop, equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, is marked down by 21% to $1,427.99 from $1,799.99. Similarly, the Asus ROG G700 Gaming Desktop featuring an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD is available for $1,899.99, saving $100 off its $1,999.99 list price.
