State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief. Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexandra Berg von Linde met Mohibbur Rahman.
On Thursday (February 15), the ambassador met him at the State Minister’s office in the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief at the Secretariat.
At this time, the State Minister requested the ambassador for the necessary cooperation including the allocation of the second phase of the National Resilience Project under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and under the financial support of Sweden. Ambassador assured cooperation.
LPG is being provided to Rohingyas and local communities for fuel through Safe Plus Phase II project. Plantations and vegetables are being cultivated in the camp area for greening. The Minister of State requested the Ambassador of Sweden to extend the second phase of Safe Plus project to Bhasanchar. The ambassador promised the necessary cooperation.
During the meeting, they discussed the law and order situation in the Rohingya camps, humanitarian aid activities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasanchar, food, drinking water, medical treatment, education, sewage treatment and Rakhine border situation for the refugees in the camps in Cox’s Bazar.
