The United States has warned that Russia could impose tougher sanctions if it launches an offensive against Ukraine.
Russia has stationed troops on its border with Ukraine in an attempt to capture it. Has been doing many things like attacking Ukraine.
But Russia and other countries, including the United States, have strongly opposed the move.
Talks between US and Russian officials on the issue are set to take place in Switzerland today. There is no change in our position on the US-Ukraine issue in this regard.
Any action taken by Russia with a view to capturing Ukraine will be met with appropriate retaliation. Russia, along with its allies, will impose tough sanctions on Russia.
Exports to Russia will be suspended. It said there was currently no possibility of withdrawing US troops stationed in European countries because of the threat posed by Russia.
