American scientists have denied the harm of white bread for the heart and blood vessels

Scientists from Arizona State University have disproved the conventional wisdom that eating pasta, rice and refined grain products from bread increases the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

The researchers conducted a meta-analysis of 17 studies involving over 870,000 people. They examined the effect of products containing refined grains on the state of the cardiovascular system.

It turned out that the refined grain itself is in no way associated with the risk of developing heart disease.

According to American scientists, red meat, sugary drinks and fatty foods, which are often consumed in conjunction with refined grain products, have a negative effect on the state of the cardiovascular system, according to an article published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
