Philippe César Boutimba Dietha, in a free speech, gave his point of view on the suspension of four senior officials of the Gabonese Merchant Navy, following the shipwreck which cost the lives of many travelers and bereaved several families.

Dear compatriots,
The nzebi say: “Yivónda and ngèbè, he is not a kamba and mukushi vè“. Translation : “An adult who is close to a child does not mind having flatulence“. Here is the interpretation. Whenever there is a smell of fart in the guardhouse or in the kitchen, the old people systematically blame the young people or the children, to preserve the dignity of the adults. So most of the time the young unjustly assume the blunders of the old.
Here is the moral of this wisdom: unjust judgments are made to protect one or more holders of power.
Here is how we can apply this wisdom to the sinking of the boat Esther Miracle: last year, the Prime Minister RCOR suspended the entire Ministry of Public Works and temporarily attached it to the Prime Minister, the supervising Minister had been dismissed.
Questions: Why does the new Prime Minister prefer to simply suspend a few Merchant Navy officials while sparing their hierarchs? Why not also suspend the two Ministers of Transport for the duration of the research and the investigation? Why should the DGMM, the DGAMM and the DAMs of the G1 and G8 alone bear the full weight of the responsibility for this sinking?
