Kollam ∙ An attempt was made to kill a young man with a car at Ezhukon. Manu, a native of Kishkemarnadu, was tried to be killed by a car. CCTV footage of the accident has been released. Manu was hit by a white car at Ezhukon Vattamankav.
The car, whose number was hidden, hit the two-wheeler in which Manu was traveling. It is also seen in the footage that the car that went ahead came back and tried to hit Manu again. The accident happened at 6 pm yesterday. The injured Manu sought treatment at the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital.
The information is that Manu recognized the youths who were in the car. They had earlier quarreled over a festival. It is suspected that this may be the continuation of it. According to the footage obtained from the nearby CCTV camera, the police started investigation. The car had no number plate. The police said that Manu is an accused in criminal cases. Police did not register a case as no complaint was filed but investigation was started.
