The playoff finals in the Northern and Southern Districts took place today (Friday) and brought together the four best teams in each district against each other. In League A South, Hapoel Kfar Shalem and Omer Peretz met Samson Kfar Qassem and Yuval Naim at their home. In League A North, Tira Sports Club and Ravid Gazal met the young Taibe and Vigal Entebbe at their home for a particularly spicy derby.
And what at the end? In the south, Kfar Shalem defeated Samson Kfar Qassem and in the north, the young Taibeh in the next stage at the expense of Tira. The district finals game will take place next Friday at the Netanya Stadium, when five days later the winner of the district finals will meet the one who will finish in 14th place in the national league for a decisive game on promotion / survival in the second league in the country.
League A South, top playoff final:
Hapoel Kfar Shalem – Shimshon Kfar Qassem 3: 4 (3: 3 at the end of 90 minutes)
In the first half, Hapoel Kfar Shalem looked completely anemic, after Kfar Qassem abused it thanks to three perfect attacks and three goals that stunned the Oranges’ pitch from Tel Aviv. Sapir Itach put the ball in his own goal and set up 0: 1 from an own goal in favor of Kfar Qassem already in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Elior Cider doubled the result and a minute later, Ben Binyamin made it 0: 3 to her credit, Kfar Qassem went down to the half with a particularly promising advantage.
In the second half, after the entry of Ohad Kadusi, Hapoel Kfar Shalem’s game changed. The Oranges returned to the game and a pair of balls that came to Kadusi set up a particularly dramatic 3: 2. In the 69th minute, Ili Crispy made it 3: 3 and Samson Kfar Qassem could not believe it was happening to her after leading already 0: 3 in the half. The crowd of oranges went crazy. After the pressure subsided, the teams finished the 90 minutes in a particularly rhythmic 3: 3. In the 114th minute, Eli Elbaz made a crazy turnaround and set 3: 4 in favor of Hapoel Kfar Shalem. Yuval Naim did not understand where this was coming from. After already being 3-0 behind, the Oranges from Tel Aviv managed to make a splash in their home.
League A North, Top Playoff Final:
Tira Sports Club – Taibe Youth 0: 0 (overtime: 1: 1; on penalties: 3: 4 to Taibe)
The most intriguing game one could ask for in the Northern District kicked off at the castle, but did not yield too much. Yigal Entebi’s and Ravid Gazal’s teams were not very accurate and had to go through 120 minutes of football to reach penalty kicks from 11 meters. In the first part of overtime, the game was stopped due to clashes in both audiences, with each other.
As mentioned, and there was also an ugly incident – during an attempt to take out a corner kick, Tira fans threw stones on the lawn and referee Shalom Ben Avraham was forced to stop the match. The incident occurred during Taibeh’s attempt to take out a corner kick. The fans started throwing from next to nothing and in response Castle players approached them and asked them to stop but to no avail. Eventually Ben Avraham stopped the game and police forces entered the stadium to make order between the fan camps. Only after about a quarter of an hour the game resumed.
Only in the 93rd minute (beginning of the first part of extra time) did the referee whistle for a resumption of the confrontation between the two. In the 95th minute, Tira took the lead after the elevation of Mamun Kashua reached the feet of Shalom Edri, who with an accurate delivery to the center of Taibeh Square found Wiam Amasha, who did not end with a strong kick, made it 0: 1. In the 111th minute, Taibe returned to the game thanks to Ahmed Rabia, who made it 1: 1. The teams went for free kicks from 11 meters, when Taibe won 3: 4 thanks to the last and excellent kick of Tal Ayala. Bottom line – Yigal Entebi in the next stage against Omar Peretz.
