An independent autopsy would be possible if Navalny’s body is taken abroad. This was stated by the Russian investigative journalist Andrey Zakharov in “The Day Begins” on BNT. However, according to him, this is unlikely to happen, as the oppositionist’s mother wants him to be buried in Russia.

According to Zakharov, Ukrainian intelligence cannot have accurate information about what happened to Navalny.

“In April 2022, Ilya Budanov (the head of Ukrainian intelligence – b.r.) said that a coup against Putin is being prepared. His work is defensive and we should take his words more carefully, because Ukraine is also leading information war against Russia”.

Indeed, there was a discussion about exchanging Alexei Navalny for other prisoners, but the negotiations were not at the final stage, the journalist pointed out.

“Several Western media reported that there was such an option, but only the Russian section of the BBC said that the exchange would have taken place in February. There were such negotiations, but no one knows whether Navalny agreed to the exchange. He had some information about her and maybe he said he was ready, but it’s not known for sure”.

A week before Navalny’s death, Putin told Tucker Carlson that he wanted to return to Russia Vadim Krasikov, who was serving a sentence in Germany. The authorities in Berlin, however, said that they would give it only against Navalny, commented Zakharov.

“He (Putin) killed Navalny – there is no logic in that. But even two years before the war in Ukraine started, we were saying that there was no logic for it to start.”

On the second day, Navalny’s family and close associates could not find a hall where they could organize a pilgrimage, as almost all businesses in Moscow refused them, Andrey Zakharov also said.
