This Friday, the Moroccan Judicial Police arrested a 47-year-old individual accused of drug trafficking who had in his possession 1,381 kilos of hashish resin that he was preparing for shipment abroad, possibly Spain.

The suspect had 42 bales of hashish in his home, as reported by the Moroccan General Directorate of National Security in a press release.

“El Aaiún: an international drug smuggling operation by sea was aborted, seizing one ton and 381 kilograms of hashish, three inflatable boats and a satellite communication device,” the organization has published in X. In addition, a all terrain vehicle.

The detainee was on the list of people with an arrest warrant from the Moroccan authorities for another case of international drug trafficking. The detainee is now at the disposal of the courts to investigate possible ramifications of the criminal activity.
