The discovery was made by municipal agents, Monday, February 13, in the Buttes-Chaumont park, located in the 19e capital district. The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed to Monde that “ following the discovery of part of the body of a woman in a grove in the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont by green space maintenance workers, an investigation was opened by the head of the assassination”.
According to a source close to the investigation, it would be a woman’s pelvis, found in a bag. The investigations were entrusted to the criminal brigade, said the prosecution, adding that“no element allows for the time being to date the death of the victim”.
The entire Buttes-Chaumont park has been closed to the public in order to allow the investigations to take place, the mayor of 19e district of the capital, François Dagnaud.
