An Iranian fighter jet crashed in the center of the country

An Iranian Air Force F-14 fighter jet crashed today (Saturday) shortly after taking off from the Shahid Babai military base in Isfahan, Isfahan Province, in central Iran.

A report in the state media in the country stated that the pilot and co-pilot managed to escape from the plane and they were evacuated for medical treatment at the local al-Zahra hospital.

The condition of the pilots was not disclosed as well as the circumstances that led to the plane crash.
