Bombana Regent Election: Andi Nirwana Sebbu Leads in SMRC Survey

A recent survey by Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) suggests that Andi Nirwana Sebbu, a prospective candidate for the 2024 Bombana Pilkada (regional head election), boasts the highest popularity and electability among potential candidates.
The survey, conducted between July 15th and 23rd, 2024, assessed the attitudes and behavior of voters in Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. It specifically evaluated the favorability and potential victory chances of various prospective regents.
The results revealed that Andi Nirwana Sebbu leads the pack with 43% of the vote in a simulation involving four prospective candidates. Burhanuddin follows closely behind with 37%. Other contenders, such as Abustam and Johan Salim, secured 3.3% and 2.6% respectively.
When narrowed down to three candidates, Andi Nirwana Sebbu maintains his dominance with 44.6%, while Burhanuddin stands at 37.9%. Abustam receives 4.0% of the votes in this scenario.
The SMRC survey concludes that Andi Nirwana Sebbu’s popularity and electability are significantly higher than other potential candidates, even when considering a head-to-head race with Burhanuddin.
