Ángel Rivera remodels the board of directors of Banco Santander Spain

Ángel Rivera, the CEO of Banco Santander Spain, has carried out the remodeling of the entity’s executive leadership.

Thus, the CEO of Banco Santander Spain has appointed Francisco Moza as Director of Corporate Development and Sustainability. He will be responsible for Strategy and Sustainability, Costs and Profitability, and Communication and Marketing, with the purpose of developing a plan that creates value in a sustainable manner for the entity.

Likewise, Rivera has placed the insurance business under the supervision of Adela Martín, currently responsible for Private Banking and Asset Management, for which reason her area will be renamed Wealth Management & Insurance. Martín will report directly to both Rivera and Víctor Matarranz, the current global head of this division.

The CEO of Santander Spain has also created the Business Department, which will be led by Antonio Román, currently responsible for Companies, Institutions and Universities. This new area will cover the SMEs, Distribution and Internal Control business.

Raquel Graciano, for her part, becomes the new director of Human Resources, and will report directly in Spain to Cristina Ruiz, director of Transformation and Individuals, and Amaya Casero, head of personnel for Europe.

Pablo del Campo remains as Director of Finance, with responsibility for Management Control, Finance and Real Estate, reporting directly to Rivera and with responsibility at the European level as financial and strategy director.

José Juan Pérez-Tabernero also remains as director of Institutional Relations, reporting to Luis Isasi, non-executive president of Banco Santander Spain, and to Rivera himself. Verónica Manso, head of the Commercial Banking office, becomes head of the CEO’s office.

As for the other members of the Banco Santander Spain board of directors, they maintain their positions and functions. Thus, the director of Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, Ignacio Domínguez-Adame, and the director of Individuals, Luis Colorado; the Director of Technology and Operations, Cristina Álvarez; the Director of Risks and Compliance, Olga Abad; the director of Internal Audit, Pilar Zataraín, and the general secretary, Adolfo Díaz-Ambrona.
