Operations carried out by farmers continue and strengthen this Friday. Some unions are organizing a blockade of several access points to Paris. The Prime Minister promised to make announcements during the day, they are eagerly awaited by the demonstrators.

Faced with his first serious crisis since his appointment, Gabriel Attal must go to farmers, according to the large agricultural union FNSEA. He will go to Haute-Garonne (south-west), where the first highway blockade began a week ago, to make “concrete proposals for simplification measures”, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Marc Fesneau. The evolution of agricultural mobilization will depend on their content.

Le Parisien takes stock of various operations underway in the country.

Ile-de-France

Expecting a 2 p.m. to midnight blockage of major roads around Paris, farmers are already taking action. In Seine-et-Marne, for example, around forty tractors supervised by the police are demonstrating on the Saisons roundabout, at the west exit. Farmers plan to block the A1 near the Chamant toll (Oise) in both directions between Paris and Lille. The Oise prefecture has authorized the closure of the highway for around forty km until 11:59 p.m. Friday.

This Friday afternoon, the Paris blockade operation must notably target the A1, A13, A15, A13, A10-A11 and A6 motorways. In Yvelines, the Saint-Arnoult toll should be completely blocked from midday.
