BJP state president Annamalai has stated that the decision on the parliamentary election alliance cannot be taken at this time. If Annamalai is allowed to contest in the parliamentary elections, he will aim to pursue honest politics, even if it fails, to help the development of the party. He believes that current politics will not last more than 20 years, necessitating a change, and the BJP will follow the national leaders’ decision.
When asked about Union Minister L. Murugan’s target to win 9 constituencies, Annamalai stated that the party is still growing rapidly in places like Tenkasi and Ramanathapuram, and that Murugan’s claim of party officials working in 9 constituencies makes no sense.
Concerning the online rummy ban law, Annamalai believes that the Tamil Nadu government should draft a proper law amendment explicitly categorizing it as a game of skill rather than chance to prevent the Supreme Court from banning it again. The Tamil Nadu BJP advocates for the ban of online rummy.
Finally, when asked about the arrest of a BJP executive in the Arudra Gold fraud case, Annamalai stated that any company like Arudra will only give money to those who pay first and that even if those involved are brought to justice, they will collect no more than 5%. Annamalai also believes that the government should create awareness among the people and that the police should take action against those involved, even if they are administrators.
