BJP state president Annamalai has stated that the decision on the parliamentary election alliance cannot be taken at this time. He made this statement to the press after attending a private event in Thenampet, Chennai. When asked about the assembly and parliamentary election alliance, Annamalai replied that while he spoke with Amit Shah for two hours about the 2024 parliamentary election and the 2026 assembly election, the final decision has not been made. It cannot be confirmed at this moment how many constituencies will be allocated in the alliance, nor which constituencies are allotted. If Annamalai is allowed to contest in the parliamentary elections, he will aim to pursue honest politics, even if it fails, to help the development of the party. He believes that current politics will not last more than 20 years, necessitating a change, and the BJP will follow the national leaders’ decision.

When asked about Union Minister L. Murugan’s target to win 9 constituencies, Annamalai stated that the party is still growing rapidly in places like Tenkasi and Ramanathapuram, and that Murugan’s claim of party officials working in 9 constituencies makes no sense.

Concerning the online rummy ban law, Annamalai believes that the Tamil Nadu government should draft a proper law amendment explicitly categorizing it as a game of skill rather than chance to prevent the Supreme Court from banning it again. The Tamil Nadu BJP advocates for the ban of online rummy.

Finally, when asked about the arrest of a BJP executive in the Arudra Gold fraud case, Annamalai stated that any company like Arudra will only give money to those who pay first and that even if those involved are brought to justice, they will collect no more than 5%. Annamalai also believes that the government should create awareness among the people and that the police should take action against those involved, even if they are administrators.

Chennai: BJP state president Annamalai has said that the final decision regarding the parliamentary election alliance cannot be taken now.

Annamalai met the press after attending a private event in Thenampet, Chennai. Answering a question about the assembly and parliamentary election alliance, he said, “I have spoken to Amit Shah for 2 hours about the 2024 parliamentary election and the 2026 assembly election. People who say that the alliance is confirmed by Amit Shah should learn Hindi. He has said that the alliance with the AIADMK is continuing. Me too. That’s what I’m saying.

It cannot be said now that the alliance for the 2024 parliamentary elections has been finalized. How many constituencies are allocated in the alliance, which constituencies are alloted, so it cannot be said that the alliance is certain at the moment. If I am allowed to contest in the parliamentary elections, I will travel towards honest politics. Even if it fails, it will help the development of the party. Current politics will not last more than 20 years. So there is a need for change. We will travel according to what the national leaders decide,” he said.

To a question regarding Union Minister L. Murugan’s speech that he has set a target to win in 9 constituencies, “BJP is currently growing rapidly in Tenkasi, Ramanathapuram and other places. Murugan has been saying that party officials have been appointed and are carrying out work in 9 constituencies. We are working only in those constituencies. It doesn’t make sense,” he said.

Regarding the online rummy ban law, “Tamil Nadu government should bring a proper law amendment regarding online rummy issue. If not, the Supreme Court will ban it again. It can only be banned by bringing a law as a GAME OF CHANCE. Bring it as a GAME OF SKILL. If it comes, it cannot be banned. Tamil Nadu BJP’s position is to ban online Ramni.

To a question regarding the arrest of a BJP executive in the Arudra Gold fraud case, he said, “Any company like Arudra will get money only to those who pay first. Even if they are arrested and collected, they will not get more than 5%. So the government should create awareness among the people. “Even if the administrator is involved in this, the police should take action against them,” he said.
