In Dambulla, the Thai girls batted first and scored 93 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Lankan girls won without losing any wicket in 11.3 overs. Captain Chamira Atapattu remained unbeaten for 49 runs off 35 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes. With him Vishwa Gunaratne remained unbeaten on 39 runs off 34 balls with 4 fours and 1 six.

With this win, Sri Lanka won 3 out of 3 matches and became ‘B’ group champion with full 6 points. In the semi-finals, they got the runners-up of Group ‘A’ Pakistan.
Bangladesh will face India in the first semi-final on Friday (July 26) at noon. And in the night, Pakistan girls will fight against Sri Lanka in the second semi-final.
