In the last few hours, a new femicidal murder was reported in the province of Las Tunas, according to information reported by journalist Siro Cuartel to the editorial office of Cubanos por el Mundo.
The victim responds to the name of Yusmila Mayo Ruiz, and on social networks family and friends have regretted what happened.
Likewise, it was learned that the woman had been murdered in the town of Omaja, in Majibacoa, Las Tunas, by her current partner, who was already detained by the Castro authorities.
Yusmila is survived by 7 children, none of them the son of the aggressor, who would have used his hands to end her life. The little ones were the ones who found the body of her mother, in an event that occurred yesterday, Wednesday.
At the time of writing this note, there are no further details of the murder of this Cuban woman in Las Tunas, but the platforms fighting against Gender Violence in Cuba are already alert about the event.
It is important to mention that, in recent days, the murder of another Cuban woman in Las Tunas at the hands of her husband was also reported. The event occurred specifically in the town of Becerra, located on the road that leads to Puerto Padre.
The victim responds to the name of Martina Hernández, and was killed by her husband with machetes, according to the Niover Licea report.
The alleged murderer, and husband of the Cuban woman, goes by the name of Ramiro Garcés Estupiñan, who would have taken his own life after committing the crime. He apparently hanged himself.
These events show how gender violence continues to be a serious problem on the island with no solution in sight from the communist regime.
