The following announcement was issued by the Press Office of the Municipal Faction “With Power for Rhodes”:
The recent statements of Mr. Koliadis indeed make “absolutely clear, the different perception that we represent, in the way of administration, and in the exercise of politics”.
Because we would NEVER make fun of the citizens, saying, for example, that “the Municipal Authority decided not to start the process of extraditing the municipal councilor and former mayor M. Kordinas”, hiding that it has absolutely NO competence, by law.
It is indeed different, to defend someone, who was a partner of a Technical Company Manager, who received hundreds of thousands of euros from the Municipality of Rhodes, and in the same year of last year’s elections, at a time when the law, as well as justice, proved that it prohibits his candidacy in the last municipal elections.
This is precisely where our big difference lies:
Mr. Koliadis believes that he can invoke powers that the law does not give him, and furthermore accept and approve the violation of laws, invoking his popular mandate.
We all respect and honor
the true popular verdict,
but first and foremost
we respect laws and rules,
by which we place ourselves,
in the judgment of our fellow citizens.
Democracy, Institutions and Laws are ALWAYS above all personal intentions and ambitions.
