London: French footballer Anthony Martial has joined Spanish club Sevilla. The player is coming to La Liga from English club Manchester United. The 26-year-old was brought into the Sevilla squad on loan. The Frenchman will fly to Sevilla for medical tests. Barcelona and Juventus have expressed interest in the player.
However, the player decided to join Sevilla considering the opportunity to play. He was preparing to move to a new club as opportunities in the new season at United dwindled. In 2015, United acquired Marshall from Monaco for a record fee. 2
Marshall has only been in the starting XI four times in the new season. With Cristiano Ronaldo, Jaden Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani all in the squad, Marshall often did not get a chance.
Marshall had previously stated that he was interested in playing for Sevilla. Sevilla are currently second in La Liga behind Real Madrid.
