BarcelonaThe Antifraud Office has detected up to ten cases of “irregularities” and “bad practices” in the Parliament of Catalonia and urges the Catalan chamber to review the actions urgently and to transfer, within thirty days, the measures taken to resolve this situation. In a report sent to Parliament, they conclude that the last licenses by age – as the ARA advanced this Thursday – were granted “irregularly” and that the retirement award does not have the necessary legal protection. This last payment, also revealed by this newspaper, can be raised to 150,000 and 200,000 euros in the case of senior officials, since it is a whole year’s salary when they stop working. It should be noted that these two figures are compatible: there are workers who have spent five years without work and once they have reached retirement they have received an entire annuity of extra salary.
