Apple representatives in an interview with ITHome explained why the corporation continues to produce computers with 8 gigabytes of RAM. The material is available on the Chinese media website, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.

The portal’s journalists asked Apple managers Kate Bergeron and Evan Buse why the company is releasing a Mac with 8 gigabytes of memory. For comparison, many Windows laptop models have at least 16 gigabytes of RAM. Representatives of the American corporation said that modern computers need 8 gigabytes of RAM.

According to Bergeron and Buse, 8 gigabytes of memory is enough for most Mac users – for office work, interacting with the browser and watching videos. Evan Buse emphasized that, for example, the new MacBook Air has a powerful processor that allows you to connect up to two external monitors. Also, using an Apple Silicon processor, a graphics accelerator and a neuromodule, the device can work with artificial intelligence (AI).
