Apple, financial results down: only services are resisting

Apple has revealed its financial results for the first quarter of 2023, i.e. the months of October, November and December of 2022 according to the solar calendar. Revenue is $117.15 billion, with profit of $29.99 billion, down 5 percent in revenue and 13 percent in net revenue compared to the same period last year. Apple no longer discloses the quantity of units sold for its products, but only the revenue for each family of devices. In detail, iPhones brought 65.78 billion to Apple’s coffers (against 71.63 in the previous year), 7.74 billion dollars from Macs (10.85 in 2022), 9.4 billion for iPads , 13.48 billion from Apple Watch, HomePod, various accessories. As for services such as Apple Music, Apple Fitness+ and Apple TV+, they brought in the company a total of 20.78 billion, and they are the only growing sector: a year ago they had brought in 19.5 billion.
