App developers have complained that Apple has severely limited the functionality of its Vision Pro augmented reality glasses. This became known to journalists from The Information publication, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.

According to a media report, software developers are unhappy that the company is preventing their apps from using the cameras in Vision Pro. Thus, the developer of the fitness game HitMotion Anthony Vitillo said that he wants his application to interact with real objects – for example, punching bags. However, the camera function is blocked.

Another developer, Kalani Helekunihi, who launched a program for people with disabilities, also criticized Apple’s rules. Khelekunihi would like his service to describe the things people touch. However, this feature is not possible without access to the cameras.

Experts interviewed by The Information explained the limitation of Vision Pro’s functionality due to privacy concerns. According to them, the company does not want a repeat of the cases of Google Glass, when other people were afraid of wearing the device due to the presence of cameras.
