Apple has made significant changes to its products in recent years, and it appears they’re planning another. This time, the change is focused on the size of Mac devices. A report has emerged claiming that Apple is preparing to release the smallest Mac ever.
The upcoming Mac Mini will be equipped with either the M4 or M4 Pro chip, marking the first major chip update for Mac since 2010. Sources suggest the new Mac Mini will be remarkably similar to the Apple TV, currently featuring a 1.4-inch display, but potentially slightly larger. An aluminum shell is also rumored.
Apple has also reportedly updated the ports on the new Mac Mini. The device will offer both Type-C and power cable connections, alongside an HDMI port. Two versions of the Mac Mini are expected, both featuring either the M4 or M4 Pro chip. Production of the base model is rumored to begin this month, while the more advanced model is expected in October. This would mark the first time an Apple Mac features the M4 chip.
Additionally, a separate report suggests Apple is exploring the potential of utilizing AI technology in new ways. Experts believe the company could offer AI-powered services as part of their subscription service, One Subscription. While no official confirmation has been made by Apple, this move aligns with their strategy of offering comprehensive subscription plans for various services.
