Apple presented new products at an event. Among other things, the company is renewing its iPad models. The accessories also get an update.
It was Apple’s first product show of the year and the last before the World Wide Developer Conference in June, where the company is expected to show off new operating systems. The company presented new iPads in London.
What’s new? The iPad Air is now available in two sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch. Apple has also built its M2 chip into the devices. This means that the models should be up to 50 percent faster than the previous versions.
Apple has also increased the storage. The smallest model has 128 GB of storage. Up to 1 TB of storage can be built into the device. Both models support the Apple Pencil 2. The two iPad Air will be available starting next week for 699 euros and 949 euros.
iPad Pro now with OLED display
The iPad Pro is also getting an update. The iPad Pro now has an OLED screen. This brings more contrast and higher image quality. The 13-inch iPad has Apple’s largest OLED screen to date. Apple has equipped the iPad Pro with two displays that are one on top of the other. This is intended to ensure uniform brightness.
In addition to the better image quality, there is another advantage: it makes the iPad thinner. The 11-inch iPad Pro is 5.3 mm thick. According to Apple, the 13-inch iPad Pro is only 5.1 mm thick. This makes it the thinnest iPad that Apple has ever built.
Apple has also installed a new chip in the iPad Pro: the M4. The processor is said to make the iPad Pro up to four times faster than previous models. This means that powerful games should also run on the device. According to Apple, the new iPad Pro will be ten times faster than the original iPad Pro.
The prices: The iPad Pro with 11 inches costs 1,199 euros. The group wants 1,549 euros for the 13-inch model.

There is also a new Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad for the iPads. The trackpad gets haptic feedback like in the Macbook models.
There is also a new smart pen: the Apple Pencil Pro. It can now vibrate and provide haptic feedback. It also has an acceleration sensor. Other functions: If the user presses the pen on the front, for example, a corresponding menu opens. The pen can display location using Apple’s Find My feature. Cost of the pen: 149 euros.
