A key figure driving this new entertainment experience is Jack Payne, a seasoned karaoke host whose journey to the Tetons was uniquely shaped by a lifelong passion for singing.
From Childhood teasing to Collegiate refinement
Payne’s introduction to the world of karaoke began unconventionally. As a child, his parents playfully-yet consistently-encouraged him to participate, fostering a surprising resilience and ultimately overcoming initial stage fright. “What began as lighthearted teasing soon helped him shed his inhibitions and stage fright, ultimately shaping a confident and captivating stage presence,” according to data released by the resort.

Payne ultimately chose Michigan State University, specifically drawn to East Lansing’s renowned Crunchy’s Burgers and Beers-widely considered the Great Lakes region’s premier karaoke establishment. He dedicated 4.5 years to honing his skills at Crunchy’s,absorbing the nuances of hosting and performance.
Bringing Karaoke Expertise to the Tetons
Following his collegiate training, Payne relocated west, eager to share his expertise with the Jackson Hole community. He quickly established himself as a sought-after host at local bars before landing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
“He’s now excited to bring lively, slopeside entertainment to all skiers and riders,” the resort stated. Payne’s background suggests a commitment to creating an inclusive and energetic atmosphere for all skill levels of singers.
