Actress Apsara Ratnakaran and director Albie Francis got married after waiting for a year due to family opposition. Their family was opposed to the relationship as they belong to both religions. And then attempts to reconcile the household. Finally married with the blessing of all.
The ceremony was held on November 29 at Chottanikkara. Close relatives and friends, including those from the television industry, attended the ceremony. Apsara wore a set sari and a customized blouse with the image of Attukal Devi. Albie wore a golden jubba and Kasav mundu.
Albie was the director of the serial ‘Ullath Paranjal’ in which Apsara played the lead role. It was during this period that the friendship grew into love. Apsara won the State Government Award for Best Actress and Albie for Best Director for this serial. Apsara is currently playing the role of Jayanthi in the Santhvanam serial.
