Talking about Spider, Murugadoss said, “I made an account of the film Spider when there was no big pan India concept. My plan is to attract the Tamil and Telugu audience. S.J. I calculated that Tamil fans will watch the film for Suriya and Telugu fans for Mahesh Babu. Mahesh Babu cannot be shown as a big commercial hero in Tamil. He said that is why he was so disappointed in his character.
