Washington: America-based Archer company has introduced an electric air taxi. US-based Jovi Aviation Archer and London-based Vertical Aerospace are working on developing an air taxi. At the end of last year, Archer’s Marker air taxi was introduced and delivered. Now the company has introduced another taxi called Midnight. The air taxi is expected to be certified by the end of 2024 and start service from 2025.
This air taxi can seat a pilot and 4 passengers. The vehicle is in the process of being certified by the US Air Traffic Control Authority. Last week it was announced that the company’s air taxi service would be launched from New York to Newark Airport. It has been reported that the fare for traveling is 500 rupees per mile. According to Archer, the vehicle will reduce the 60-minute journey time by 10 minutes.
