Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, welcomed the delegation headed by Levan Kakawa, head of the revenue service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit at the Bagratashen customs point.

Rustam Badasyan and Levan Kakava toured the territory of the Bagratashen checkpoint, got acquainted with the proper organization and service conditions of the border crossing process. It was emphasized that the provision of easy and fast movement through border checkpoints for foreign economic activities and citizens is one of the priorities of the customs bodies of both countries.

A number of important issues are on the agenda. During the meeting, Rustam Badasyan and Levan Kakava discussed topics of mutual interest in cooperation. It was noted that the existing legal and contractual relations between the two countries in the fields of tax and customs administration provide an opportunity for active interaction on bilateral and international platforms.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the initial exchange process of electronic data related to the international transportation of vehicles and goods between Armenia and Georgia, happily stating that the system is planned to be launched in the coming weeks. The need for integration of electronic invoice systems between Armenia and Georgia was also discussed at the meeting.
A number of other directions of bilateral cooperation were also discussed.

The parties have expressed their readiness to take active steps to implement the agreements reached.
