Armenia and Germany are interested in deepening economic cooperation

On the morning of February 14, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he had a meeting with the German Federal Secretary of Economy and Energy Thomas Barais, the executive director of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the chairman of the Foreign Economic Affairs Council Volker Trier and representatives of the chamber as part of a working breakfast.

Thomas Barais thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and noted that the German side is interested in the further development and expansion of trade and economic relations with Armenia. He expressed confidence that the Prime Minister’s visit will be a new impetus for the expansion of bilateral business ties, implementation of new joint projects in various branches of the economy.

Prime Minister Pashinyan referred to the developments taking place in Armenia’s economy and the steps taken by the government to improve the business environment. The Prime Minister spoke in detail about the programs implemented in the fields of industry, tourism, agriculture, information technology and the priorities of the RA government. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the RA government is interested in the development of economic cooperation with Germany and the expansion of the involvement of German business and capital in the Armenian market.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possible steps and plans for the implementation of joint projects in the near future, which will give a new impetus to the Armenian-German trade and economic relations. The parties also emphasized the holding of business forums and the deepening of relations and cooperation between businessmen.
