Armenia has issued Eurobonds of 750 million dollars. According to “Armenpress”, this information was confirmed at the press conference by the Chairman of the RA Central Bank, Martin Galstyan.

“Yes, Eurobonds worth 750 million dollars were issued. They were issued with a maturity of 10 years, with a yield of 3.875 percent,” said Galstyan.

According to him, the demand for bonds issued by Armenia has never been so high. The President of the Central Bank attributed this to a number of factors. At the moment, global financial institutions and investors have quite a large amount of money accumulated and they are looking at where to invest.

According to the Central Bank, a certain improvement in the assessment of the country’s risk premium has been recorded in the international financial markets in recent months.

In April of this year, the risk premium was about 600 basis points, then it decreased somewhat, reaching 300 basis points in June-July. During the war it rose to 600, now it has almost halved.

“In other words, international investors have a clear perception of macro-stability in the country. This is the most important message,” said the CB president.

Turning to the question of whether those 750 million dollars should be added to Armenia’s state debt, Galstyan said that if the early repayment of the previously issued will not be carried out at the expense of this, then yes.
