Actions of those demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continue in Armenia. What has happened since April 19, and especially the events of the last four days, show that the procedures organized by the opposition in the country, the “Karabag clan”, the Church of the Armenian Havariyun (Apostle) and foreign controlled and financed groups together with the Armenian diaspora in foreign countries did not give the expected results.

It is simply impossible to achieve that result after that.

Reverend Bagrat Galstanyan, Archbishop of Tavush Diocese of the Apostolic Church of Armenia (EAK), stressed that the actions will “continue until victory”.

He did not even hide his desire to become the prime minister: “If the people want it, the opposition agrees and the Church leadership blesses, who am I to oppose the people’s demand and God’s will?!”

Reverend Bagrat, playing the role of Reverend Gapon, knows that he cannot actually rise to power. He is an ordinary puppet of former presidents Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, leaders of the “Karabag clan” in Armenia.

The main goals of the church, the diaspora, the “Karabagli clan” and the opposition groups controlled from the outside, which they have not disclosed yet, and which they are trying hard to cover up, is to bring Robert Kocharyan to power.

But the ongoing processes clearly show that they will not reach their goal.

Yesterday and yesterday, those who gathered at the Republic square in the center of Yerevan, and tried to stop traffic by closing various streets of the city, failed to “paralyze” the state institutions. They continuously increased the intensity of the events, brought the processes to the apogee, increased the dynamics, increased the number of participants in the protests, and most importantly, failed to manage the actions effectively.

There is very little hope that they will be able to solve the listed problems in the future.

The chronology of protests held in Armenia since 2018 with the most diverse reasons and goals shows that after large marches and rallies, the crowd calms down, apathy and lethargy develop in people, reconciliation with the existing situation.

As for the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, in order to maintain his power and stay in his post, he needs to solve two main issues:

1. Maintaining full control over law enforcement agencies and ensuring their effective operation

2. Taking advantage of the faction of the “Civil Agreement” party, led by him, in the country’s parliament, not to allow the processes in the higher legislative structure to derail. This includes the consolidation of Pashinyan’s supporters.

The demarcation and delimitation of the conventional state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the liberation of 4 villages that have been under Armenian occupation for 32 years and their official return to Baku, the activation of the peace agreement process – all this was, in a sense, a great chance for the forces opposed to the government in Armenia.

Realizing this, the leaders of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian Diaspora in foreign countries decided to form a broad coalition for the first time in the last 20 years.

Political organizations under the control of R. Kocharyan and S. Sargsyan and, of course, the “Karabag clan” consisting of Armenians originally from Karabakh, the Dashnaks, the Armenian Church, the Diaspora, as well as the forces financed and instructed by Russia and Iran, joined that coalition.

And yet, for the first time, the Armenian Apostolic Church (AEC) has activated all its capabilities for “consolidation”, the resources of R. Kocharyan and S. Sargsyan are working for this union, and those who want Nikol Pashinyan’s removal from power, who is clearly targeted in the Russian mass media, are “protesting”. is presented as “people who do”.

However, it was not so difficult to remove Nikol Pashinyan from power after April 19. The patience cup of the Armenian society, which is still living with the fantasy of “Great Armenia”, burning in the fire of revanchism and revenge, carrying the dream of re-occupying the territories of Azerbaijan, carrying the idiotic illusion of receiving approximately 1 trillion dollars in compensation from Turkey for the so-called “Armenian genocide”, was about to overflow. .

When Nikol Pashinyan started the demarcation and delimitation process and went to Tavush (Tovuzgala) district, he mentioned the so-called “genocide” and instead of using the word “genocide” he said “great massacre” (“Mets yegern”).

Later, in his statements, he said that it is necessary to hold a referendum to change the preamble of the Armenian Constitution, which includes territorial claims against Azerbaijan. After a while, N. Pashinyan said that the silhouette of Mount Ararat on the territory of Turkey in the national coat of arms of Armenia is a “mistake”.

Thus, he irritated the nerves of the revanchists and nationalists in Armenia, and became the cause of the resurgence of the narrative about the prime minister being “submissive and weak” in the society.

The activation and unification of the forces that want to come to power in Armenia, creating an alliance or alliance, even if temporarily, created almost ideal conditions for starting the struggle.

Because, as we mentioned, Nikol Pashinyan brought his political trials regarding the Armenian society to the extreme.

But Pashinyan’s opponents did not succeed: the scattered Armenian opposition still cannot unite, the church and the diaspora do not hide their mercantile interests, and most importantly, they choose the worst, even the most absurd, of the possible scenarios and try to make Robert Kocheryan’s return to power a reality.

However, for the majority of Armenian citizens, Robert Kocharyan is the worst possible candidate for the post of prime minister after Nikol Pashinyan.

In the eyes of the total majority of Armenians, Robert Kocharyan is considered a “non-native” because he is originally an Armenian from Karabakh, but he is also a villain who robbed the country and accumulated billions of dollars of wealth during his years in power.

Nikol Pashinyan is not worried.

The United States, France and the European Union fully support it. Even the West agrees to “cleanse” the Armenian Parliament of the Russian-leaning and Moscow-controlled political forces, i.e. “Armenia” led by Robert Kocharyan and “Sharafim Var” created by Serzh Sargsyan, in order for N. Pashinyan, who has taken a strong stance against Russia, to remain in power.

At the same time, if the protests in Armenia are dispersed by law enforcement agencies, the West will turn a blind eye to this too.

The aim is to reject the demand of the participants of the action for early parliamentary elections.

It is for this reason that extraordinary parliamentary elections will not be held in Armenia.

Reverend Bagrat and those who use him as a puppet strengthen Nikol Pashinyan’s power without even realizing it, and increase the power’s resistance potential.

As long as Bagrat and the politicians, bloggers, and journalists in the camp they represent say, “We will punish Pashinyan and his people after the change of power,” – the party led by the prime minister of Armenia and the parliamentary faction of this party, officials in state institutions, and those working in the power structures The sense of unity and resistance to opposition in the ranks is getting stronger.

As for the West, the Washington-Paris-Brussels trio understands that Nikol Pashinyan’s removal from power means that Russia will once again become the absolute ruler in Armenia and take full control over the processes.

For this reason, the West does not defend democracy, development, human rights, etc. in Armenia, but rather Pashinyan.

All that is left for Azerbaijan is to supervise the processes.

Baku is not interested in who is in power in Armenia. Even if Pashinyan is overthrown, if the force that will replace him falls into the illusion of revanchism and self-confidence, the response he receives will be very severe.

Rather, it will be a killer.

Nobody can stop Azerbaijan from protecting its borders and its citizens.

The Armenian leadership knows this, as does the West.
