RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan participated in the presentation of the “Bukhta Yug” retail and wholesale multi-profile shopping center organized jointly with the Armenian Businessmen’s Association and the RA Ministry of Economy. Deputy Ministers Arshak Aslanyan and Narek Teryan also participated in the event.

The presentation was also attended by those Armenian companies that are represented or intend to enter the Russian market.

The main goal of the establishment of the “Bukhta Yug” shopping center is the development of the export of Armenian products. The shopping center is located near the main highways and suburban railways in the south of Moscow. The official opening of the center is planned at the end of the second quarter of 2022.

Around 1,802 shops and booths will be located in the shopping center, where various products can be presented directly from suppliers: food, clothing, construction materials, fabrics.

RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan and first vice president of “Tashir” group of companies Narek Karapetyan made a welcome speech at the event.

The minister welcomed the establishment of “Bukhta Yug” shopping center and noted: “Armenian goods can be sold in the “Bukhta Yug” shopping center on the Russian market, particularly in the city of Moscow, without unnecessary political risks. The Ministry of Economy is ready to assist in making this infrastructure very popular and successful. Even a year and a half ago, we did not have such an infrastructure, as a result of which at a certain point our producers faced logistical problems; now we can work more freely, much more independently in our largest export market.

“During the events of July 2020, we faced a fact when Armenian producers started having problems selling their agricultural products. A decision was made by the “Tashir” group of companies to create a commercial zone open and endowed with primary rights for Armenian producers, and today we have gathered to see the implementation of that project. “Tashir” company bought one of the wholesale trade centers in Moscow, where we are ready to provide interesting offers for Armenian producers”, said Narek Karapetyan, the first vice president of “Tashir” group of companies.

Gohar Ghumashyan, Executive Director of the Association of Armenian Entrepreneurs, in his turn briefly referred to the activity and development strategy of the association.

During the event, the general director of “Bukhta Yug” shopping centers presented the center’s advantages, registered commercial successes and terms of renting the space.

The Association of Armenian Businessmen was created by Armenian businessmen in order to strengthen the business community of Armenia and Russia, to make the markets of both countries more accessible to each other. The president and co-founder of the Association of Armenian Businessmen is Samvel Karapetyan, the owner of the “Tashir” group of companies.
