The police arrested 4 people involved in the robbery of 37 pounds of gold jewelery and Rs.13 lakh cash from the house of a cotton merchant in Rsspuram, Coimbatore.

Chondav Kamlesh (50) from Gujarat. He lives in West Arogyasamy Road, RSSpuram and is doing wholesale cotton business.

In this case, while Kamlesh was out, 12 men entered his house wearing a mask on January 25. His son tied up the employees and robbed the house of 37 pounds of gold jewelry and Rs. 13 lakh in cash.

In connection with this, 6 separate squads were formed under the direction of Municipal Police Commissioner V. Balakrishnan.

In this case, in the investigation conducted by the police after capturing the surveillance camera records from various places in the city, it was reported that the robbers fled in a car through Satti Road and when they got out of the car on the way, they took off their masks and drank water.

On investigation, it was revealed that Suryaprakash (32) was missing from Nadupalayam, Coimbatore. In the investigation conducted on him, Juliet (27) who was from the same area was also caught.

Later, during the investigation, he admitted that he was involved in the robbery along with 10 others.

Subsequently, information was received that the two involved in the incident are hiding in Virudhunagar.

The police who went there caught Tamilarasan (32) and Chondha Bhupathi (31) from Rajapalayam. Subsequently, the police are actively investigating the 4 people.

In this regard, the police department said: Suriyaprakash and Juliet, who were friends of Coimbatore middle school, decided to rob a well-to-do house in Coimbatore. Tamilarasan and Bhupathi have also been consulted about this. They have decided to leave and engage in robbery with 8 more people.

When Suryaprakash visited the houses in RSSpuram for robbery, it was revealed that surveillance cameras in Kamlesh’s house did not have much security.

Subsequently, they tied up the people who were in Kamlesh’s house on the day of the incident and robbed them of money and jewellery.

All the 4 people have returned to town after saying that they can share the jewels after the police search ended.

The stolen jewelry, money is with 3 members of the gang. The search for them is going on, he said.
