The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a fugitive suspect from Bab al-Sheikh Police Station after following him from Baghdad to Erbil.
The spokesman for the Interior Ministry and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said in a statement received by the (INA), that “through high coordination and joint security work, a specialized team from the Intelligence Falcons Cell in the Ministry of Interior and the Asayish of Erbil were able to arrest an accused who escaped from one of the centers of the Bab al-Sheikh Police Department in the capital, Baghdad.”
He added, “The arrest of this wanted accused came in cases of forgery of documents in Erbil Governorate, where the necessary legal measures were taken against him to complete his investigation papers in preparation for referring him to the judiciary to receive his just punishment.”
