Arrests made in kidnapping and robbery of guest worker in Kochi

Kochi – Three persons have been arrested in the case of kidnapping and beating up a guest worker and stealing money and mobile phone. The Aluva police arrested Muhammad Murshid (26) from Nilayalikal house in Perinthalmanna Thekappuram, Rop Son (21) from Venmani Kaitakkal house in Wayanad and Sabir (57) from Pallurutthi Kosnam Veliparambi. Muhammad Sabir, a native of Bengal, who runs a tea shop in Muttam area, was abducted.

The incident happened on the 2nd at 10 pm. The accused had stopped the car on the roadside and asked to bring tea to the car. After serving tea, Sabir was dragged into the rope sun vehicle. The team went to Ernakulam. Blindfolded on the way. A ransom of Rs 50,000 was demanded. After taking the money, they forcibly took his mobile phone.

In the morning, the group left Sabir in the Kalur side and crossed over. The accused were arrested from different parts of Ernakulam district. The guest worker is an acquaintance of Rop Son, who is a member of the group. DYSP A. Prasad, SIs K. Nandakumar, S.S. Sreelal, ASI K.A. Naushad, CPOs Mahinsha Abubakar, Mohammad Amir, KM Manoj, MS Sandeep and others were in the investigation team.
