Abu Dhabi-based Art UAE Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Launch of Art Calendar

As part of its 15th anniversary celebrations, Art UAE has launched an art calendar featuring a series of exciting exhibitions and events. The calendar kicks off with the 150th art exhibition in collaboration with the Global Art Foundation, which was held at POP Gallery on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.

The exhibition, titled ‘Success Dubai’, featured the paintings of Emirati artist Abdul Rauf Al Khalfan and was organized by Sheikh Maktoum bin Hashir Al Maktoum and Alex Lee, chairman of POP Invest Group. The event marked the UAE’s 52nd National Day, and the first picture was received by His Highness Sheikh Omar Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Private Office CEO Amna Al Dahiri.

The exhibition was graced by the presence of Emirati native Suad Al Suwaidi, the first international wildlife photographer in the Arab world, as the chief guest. Other notable figures in attendance included prominent fashion designer Hind Al Khoury, French Consul Pascal Rufi, Austrian Consul Bob Morrison, Art UAE Youth Founder Zaya Fatoom, and Art UAE Co-Founder Zakaria Muhammad.

As part of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, an exhibition of Last Supper-themed art from Jawahari’s collection, the owner of the world’s largest collection of 19th-century French art, is currently being held at the gallery on Sheikh Zayed Road. Sheikha Afra Al Maktoum will inaugurate the exhibition, with the French Ambassador as the chief guest.

Looking ahead, the calendar outlines a series of forthcoming events, including a sculpture exhibition by Chinese artist Jordi Yu Fu in January, organized by the Chinese Business Council’s small person Sang Lee. In February, Sheikha Al Muttawa will hold an exhibition related to World Hijab Day, followed by Omani artist Laila Al Shaibani’s Arabic calligraphy paintings at the Ramadan Calligraphy Exhibition in March. Additionally, Art UAE founder Sattar Al Karan announced plans for the Arab Art Award in Dubai Burj Khalifa in April and the Design Week in Abu Dhabi in November.

Art enthusiasts and the general public can anticipate an exciting lineup of exhibitions and events as Art UAE continues to celebrate its 15th anniversary throughout the coming year.
