“Dynamo” sports company was founded in the Russian Federation 90 years ago. On the occasion of the jubilee, the traditional 20th international major tournament in Moscow dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Voronin, the heel of the Olympic Games, the absolute world and six-time European champion, was held. This is reported by the press department of the Ukrainian National Olympic Committee.

Many famous athletes traditionally compete in the world-famous gymnast Voronin Cup. This time was no exception.

This year’s European bronze medalist (pole vault) Artur Davtyan from Yerevan also gave a tone to the competition of 23 countries. He performed in the all-around and fully lived up to expectations. Arthur performed almost flawlessly on six instruments and, leaving only Dmitri Gogotov ahead of him, took the honorable 2nd place. Famous Japanese athlete Naoto Hayasako finished the top three.

It should be noted that Arthur entered the finals in all 6 instruments. In this case, the team’s head coach Hakob Serobyan found it convenient to “share” Artur’s workload and allowed him to participate only in pole vault, pole vault and hoop competitions. The coach was right, especially since the Armenian gymnast, recognized as the 3rd in Europe in vaulting, was unbeatable this time and defiantly won the first place.
This is not all. our delegate was 2nd on vault and 3rd on rings.

Artur Davtyan is a gifted gymnast and this is evidenced by his success in the Olympic ranking tournaments, as a result of which he received the right to participate in the London Olympic Games. General Secretary of the Gymnastics Federation of Armenia, Garnik Saroyan, not hiding his joy, said during the conversation that Arthur will be fully capable of participating in the fight for Olympic medals in Rio.

A youth tournament was also included in the program of the Moscow review. Arsen, the only representative of Armenia, the son of the distinguished coach Ashot Gasparyan, finished the “wonderful seven” in all-around.
