During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the basis of the materials received from the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia and investigated by the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia, multiple cases of importing large quantities of motor oils from Georgia to the territory of the Republic of Armenia without declaration and appropriate customs formalities were revealed, as a result of which large amounts were not paid to the state budget, in total: AMD 53,911,257 in taxes, duties and other mandatory payments, informs the SIS press service.

According to A.’s instructions, two trucks loaded with 1150 containers of oil belonging to the latter were moved to the area of ​​the Bagratashen customs point of the RA SRC, where the shift chief V. According to the order agreed with A., they approached the checkpoint at a specific time and with the permission of the mentioned officials, they entered the territory of the Republic of Armenia unhindered, as a result of which the owner of the cargo, L. A. did not pay particularly large amounts of taxes, duties and other mandatory payments to the RA state budget: 16,034,896 AMD.

The preliminary investigation proved that V. A. and H. M., out of group interests and abusing his official position, regularly allowed L. Illegal importation of regular consignments of goods of A. into the RA territory.
