‘Asani’ storm in the Bay of Bengal: Sri Lanka’s natural disaster
The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a depression and has intensified into a storm today. Meteorologists have named the storm ‘Asani’.
The storm is expected to continue and make landfall in the central and western Bay of Bengal off the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on May 10, Meteorological Department officials said. Due to this, heavy rains are forecast in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal.
